Travel Photography: Marrakech

Last week I was lucky enough to spend a week in Marrakech. The city was beautiful and a photographers dream. Of course I took hundreds of photos so I thought I would share some of them with you and show you my favourite parts of the beautiful Moroccan city.

Marrakech's souks are a brilliant maze and a true adventure. Capturing all it has to offer was a challenge for me, there were people moving around everywhere and varying levels of light, dust and shadows from one ally to the next.

Many of the allys have wooden slatted roofs to provide some shade, which crease interesting light and shade to capture.

We also took a trip to the city's tanneries and had the opportunity to go on a roof top for some great views of the city.

Of course we visit lots of other tourist attractions that were also great; we went the the city's tombs, a palace and Yves Saint Laurent's garden.

Finally, I thought I would show you some photos I took of Marrakech's largest mosque and main square, which is filled with food stalls, people and all kinds of entertainment.

I hope you've enjoyed these photos from my trip and it has inspired you to make time for photography whilst your traveling! Let me know which of the cites you have visited that are you favourite to take photographs of in the comments.

See you next week,

Becky
